In rain, sleet, or snow you always need alcohol
This post has been marinating for quite a while. Since there are still some major snow storms around the nation, I figured that there would still be some legitimacy in this topic. Well it snowed here too (a few weeks ago). Here being Charlotte,NC. Now compared to the North East, this is child’s play. We received only a few inches, but the reaction of us southerners is ridiculous. When ever the local weather indicates any possibility of snow, even flurries, the grocery stores get packed. They buy milk, eggs, and bread. I assume snow days are the most popular to make french toast. Before this “major blizzard” hit Charlotte, they had the NCDOT on a local news station speaking in what seemed to be a major press conference. It really pisses me off when people freak out about such a minor snow storm. In other areas such as: New York or New Jersey. I would be freaking out.
Well, it started snowing in the early evening and cars started backing up. The roads weren’t icy and the snow wasn’t sticking. It took 20 minutes to arrive at my destination when it normally take 7. At least while sitting there you had some pretty snowflakes to look at.

Car stuck on icy hill
The next morning snow is everywhere and the city shuts down. This is due to fact that no one has the ability to drive in the snow or ice, including me. Since it snows like this every 3 or 4 years, it can be a treat, but I’m glad it’s gone. I’d rather not be shoveling 3 feet of snow to get my car out.

My attempt to move car...FAILED!
